FAQs
How do I schedule a session?
Please email me directly at cooltoadstool@yahoo.com to book an appointment. If you are booking for a group, please have one person be the contact point. I will communicate with and accept payment from that one person only. Once we have decided on a meeting time, I will send you the Zoom link as well as a payment link. Please note the group limit is 6 people. If more than 6 people show up to the call, I will end the session and you will not get a refund. You will also be permanently banned from booking. This sounds harsh, but group work takes a lot of energy. Each of you are getting less of me when I have to spread it out. I want you to have a good, meaningful experience. I am protecting both myself and you, the client, by keeping this firm boundary.
Are you just a scammer, exploiting the popularity of “witchcraft”?
Well, only you can answer that. Whatever your preconceived notions about witches or pagans or tarot readers are, I can do little to change them. I am sometimes saddened at the recent popularity of my spirituality, while also glad to see folks like me finally finding and following a path they feel is true. As with any group of people, some are good and some are bad. We are not a monolith. I have met many fake “witches” over the years, as well as sincere ones whose beliefs and practices I absolutely don’t agree with, though they share the same broad label as me. Come to me with a curious and open heart and I will come to you with the same energy. I am just a person trying to help others in the way that I think I am best able to, pursuing my joys and passions in the last half of life.
Will you cast a spell on my crush to make them love me? Or curse my annoying neighbor?
No. Never. And I will, with the understanding and kindness of friendship, talk to you about why you don’t actually want that. There’s a reason the spell kits I sell are directed for increasing YOUR confidence, YOUR intuition, YOUR inner light. I will only ever send my magic to you, the willing participant. I will also admit to you that part of magic is placebo. Carrying crystals or tokens, making moon water, drawing sigils…all of that is to focus your intentions, to put action to your words and wishes. I believe this helps your higher self, your guides, the divine force of the Universe hear you and clear obstacles or show opportunities that you may have missed otherwise, but there is no spell that will cure an illness, make someone fall in love, land you a dream job out of nowhere. Make moon water AND take your medicine. Carry crystals AND join a walking club or something to meet more people. Draw a sigil AND look for distance learning courses that might boost your skills. You get the idea. As for curses and hexes, I believe in the Wiccan Rule of Three: what I send out into the Universe comes back to me threefold. I’m only wanting kindness and compassion and hope, so that’s all I’m giving.
Do you believe in God/Jesus/Heaven?
Yes and no. I believe in Animism. Everything, every tree and rock and mountain and river and car and notebook, and coffee cup has a spirit. The Earth itself. Other planets. The sun and moon. Some locations or formations are ancient and have been revered or worshipped by humans for ages, and those spirits are stronger than others. This space is too small to get into the all the details. There is a divine energy in the Universe; I believe it goes by many names and has many faces. God and Jesus are two of them. There is an afterlife but it’s different for everyone. I consider it a parallel universe or universes with varying levels of contact available to our this universe.
